ABOUT

PLO Logistic

PLO Logistic, a veteran-owned delivery service provider partnered with Amazon, sought a modern, user-centric website to recruit delivery drivers. The challenge was to create a seamless and engaging digital platform that communicated key benefits while simplifying the application process for potential drivers.

As the UI/UX Designer, my goal was to solve critical pain points, design a conversion-focused experience, and deliver a scalable solution aligned with Amazon’s branding.

UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM

Complex Application Process

  • Problem
The existing recruitment process was overwhelming for potential applicants, leading to incomplete submissions and frustration.

  • Impact:
High dropout rates and a limited number of completed applications hindered their ability to recruit qualified drivers.

Lack of Clear Value Proposition

  • Problem
Prospective drivers were not fully aware of the benefits PLO Logistic offered, such as competitive pay, flexible schedules, and career growth opportunities.

  • Impact:
The lack of compelling communication reduced interest and trust among potential drivers.

Mobile Accessibility Issues

  • Problem
The previous website was not optimized for mobile devices, despite most users accessing the site via smartphones.

  • Impact:
Poor usability on mobile led to frustration and abandonment, especially for mobile-first users.

Key Challenges and
How I Solve

     Problem
The previous recruitment process was complex, leading to user frustration and                       incomplete applications. Potential drivers needed a streamlined way to provide                     their information without feeling overwhelmed.

    Solution

  • Designed a multi-step application form that divided the process into manageable sections (Personal Info, Address, Driver’s License, etc.).

  • Added a progress bar to show users their completion percentage, reducing drop-offs.

  • Implemented real-time validation to ensure users didn’t need to revisit steps due to errors.

   Result:
The new process reduced form abandonment by 40%, and applicants completed the              process 25% faster.
